I am raising money to record an album of music written by my Grandfather, Cyril Hellier and his brother, Clifford Hellier.
Some of their pieces were arranged for the BBC Dance Orchestra and successfully broadcast with my Grandfather as violin soloist! However, any archive recordings have sadly gone astray and so I intend to recreate the original performances with the wonderful Down for the Count Swing Orchestra. We hope to record them onto one album in order to preserve the Hellier brothers' musical heritage and forgotten legacy.
